I understand. Most of us have been burned from the promise of EJB 2.X. I am an old timer and developed with EJB 1.X and drank the kool-aid for EJB 2.1. Eventually I left the architecture for Spring and other frameworks, because they were right. It should not be so hard!
EJB 3.0 - is now very functional for all the reasons listed in this article.
This include a birth of the next serious Application Server to consider for production usage in the form of Glassfish (Sun Application Server)
I am a believer, because I build solutions.
I see how the "lightweight" frameworks are looking pretty heavy when they try to solve bigger enterprise class problems.
EJB 3.0 is a tool for solutions.
