hide portlet through javascript in NetBeans using openPortal

Can someone tell me how to hide the portletA by clicking on some button on it and display the portletB that was hidden before, But after clicking on the button got visible.
help me thanks or some other ways to do the same thing in JSR 168 really appreciatable.
