After several years of writing Swing applications, I started wondering if MVC and OO don't fit together. There's just too much data passing between the model, view, and controller, and it's hard to keep them from knowing too much about each other. So I looked around and found this, which clarified and confirmed by suspicions. Adhering to object-oriented design even when it comes to displaying the interface seems like the way to go.
