eclipse ant jasper reports

hi guys... i've just started learning about jasper reports... its been a week or 2 now and i still can't get any reports generated... is there any kind soul out there with a step by step tutorial on how to generate a simple report from scratch(installing jasper reports, ants & etc using eclipse ide)?
