Help with creating Pie Graph

Hey guys, so I'm in my first Java class right now and I need some help with my first assignment. Here is the link to access the .pdf for the class:

Now, the first 2 class were easy to understand and I was able to make the bar graph just fine. However, with the final class, I'm having trouble understanding how to implement predegrees.. I don't think the homework presents it clearly and the university discussion board doesn't seem to be any help. Can anyone help me out with this?
