Ebase Xi V4.1 to include java

Ebase make a RAD platform for web app development called Ebase Xi. The platform is fully loaded with browser UI design facilities, workflow, inetegration capabilities and so on. At present all business logic is handled via its own scripting language called FPL.

In our next major release we're thinking of porting the designer to eclipse (or netbeans) and supporting Java as the processing language (and possibly other script-based languages that will run in the JVM).

We think that that Xi could be very helpful to java developers who need a smarter, faster way to handle the web part of their applications (as well, maybe, as having access to an enterprise workflow engine and built-in integration services.

Could any of you guys give us some feedback on what we're thinking? Are we on the money, way off track, maybe we're missing some important development that's going on, whatever.

Any of you wanting to have a go with the s/w you can download from the web site. Ignore the pricing that's up there right now...we'll be introducing a newlicencsing model shortly that will a community (free) edition plus very (very) low priced other options.

Thanks.

Dave
