How to manage a dbms with multimedia content in java - jdbc(client /server)

I am an old timer from the 90s so java7 is a bit of a shock to me as ima an SCJP for java 2 platform from 2000.

Please suggest the best way to manage a multimedia databse containg (*.jpg and *.au) files in a DBMS or RDBMS using JDBC for both client(Standalone java application) and server side(Servlets).

Please think about two Glassfish 3.1 application servers with EE6 specification. A web container(servlet) on one application server wants to access an EJB component method on the other application server. Sending the source files and error message below.

Webservice client as a JAR ?

I am working for a product. It is a J2EE project. Now, there is a requirement that we need to call a Webservice to get a document associated to a person entity. Now this requirement itself is specific to one customer (out of 100s customers). Besides, even if other clients need this, they would have a different Webservice (i.e. different WSDL, etc) for the same document acquisition task.

Eric, you are right, I can't live without keyboards. One can use touch screens and qwerty keyboards of smartphones more than 30 min in a stretch. They are meant for Tech savvy people and not techie. For enterprise where a person spends 9-10 hrs a day doing serious stuff still a high performance PC is preferred than accessing a app from cloud on iPhone.

Seems a bit premature to be calling this a victory for open source. It'll take a year or two to see whether the project has picked up momentum as an "independent" open source project before knowing whether it's benefited or not.

Let's not forget that OpenOffice started out as a closed source product (StarOffice)...

I have an application which was single threaded and so used ArralyList through out the application.Now We want to make that thread safe because application changed to multi threaded.Which is the best way to do that? I don't like to replace with Vector where ever we used ArralyList.
