How to manage a dbms with multimedia content in java - jdbc(client /server)

I am an old timer from the 90s so java7 is a bit of a shock to me as ima an SCJP for java 2 platform from 2000.

Please suggest the best way to manage a multimedia databse containg (*.jpg and *.au) files in a DBMS or RDBMS using JDBC for both client(Standalone java application) and server side(Servlets).

My company allows me to visit one international work related (I'm Java/JEE Developer/Technical Lead interested in polyglot programming) conference each year. I've visited Javapolis (devox) in the past.
For this year I'm looking for a conference which is less technology but a bit more methodology focussed... possible like Oracle Develop or QCon or Javaone What would you recommend?

Need your advise, thoughts and suggestions.

I had this question on my mind that if we have JS code it is as good as being open to the world.

I was wondering if there is some thing else may be Java, .net, Flash or any other technology that would make it possible to hide the code or make it unreadable.

Basically I was thinking of the following scenario: front end validations,

Hello.

I am building a XML reader class DOM.

Does anyone have a link that has some code where

the text from a JComboBox.selectedItem()("text")

for example or any text is used to find a Node in a the DOM document

and then work with that nodes siblings?

hi,
i'm new to java and i need some help regarding some reports. i'm generating pdf reports from xml using xep and weblogic 9.2. from time to time for a column in the report the value NaN is diplayed instead of the actual value. after regenerating the report the column has the correct value. i checked both xml generated for the reports and are the same(same value for that column in each xml. Both times same xsl is used. when the Nan value is display i gett the following exception:

your article is helpful except that there is a lot of theory without practical example. to make more interesting you can include a simple flash, XML schema/DTD, XML document and do they interface with BLL.

..
I guess there should be:
m_endHandler = m_stockHandler;
the same applies to
m_endHandler = optionHandler;
