I cannot deploy jsfshale or jsfstandalone from the download section below. jsfseam works like a charm. for jsfshale I get Error filterStart for jsfstandalone I get a stacktrace when browsing to the firstpage

Downloading a product

I want to implement a download usecase as per the following requirement.

Steps:

1)User clicks on Download link

2)It displays the next page with the following display
'If your download does not start automatically within 10 seconds, click here.'

Access huge number of records from the Database

I have about 100000 records in a database table(oracle is the DB here). Its number may vary frequently depends on the updates/inserts to that database table. I have to show this table records to the user.I used paging to display records and user can walk through all pages by clicking on previous/Next links . Each page can display 100 number of records at a time. For each click do we need to go to database to fetch the records?Or is there any effcient way to handle this situtaion.

Grettings, all.

I am running Apache Tomcat 5 under Red Hat Linux.

Generally, I deploy web applications using Tomcat's "Manager" application, which allows one to upload a WAR file over the network and have it automatically deployed.

The specific webapp that I am trying to deploy includes some native executable programs inside its WEB-INF directory which are to be executed via system calls from a java servlet.

However, when the Tomcat Manager uploads and deploys my WAR file, it creates the native programs without assigning execute permissions to the tomcat user.

What I get from the article is that the new tool has nothing to do with JavaScript development. Instead, it uses another language in place of JavaScript.

Presently, I am attempting to use the HttpURLConnection to make web server calls across multiple nodes participating in a web server cluster. I have a web application 'MyWebAppl' that is running/deployed on 'WebServerA' (Node #1) and the same web application 'MyWebAppl' that is running/deployed on 'WebServerB' (Node #2). From 'WebServerA' I am attempting to open/establish a HttpURLConnection with 'WebServerA' and 'WebServerB' which results in IOException with an HTTP Status Code of 500.

i want to know if Tomcat 5.5 wud work with jdk 1.6 or not becoz i m reading frm the book on java for the web by budi kurniawan and i searched for the error 404
when i use the browser to run my servlet......and i followed what the solution to it was given that i had to make a package and then finally run the servlet ...........the prob still exists :-( .............
