Combobox change combobox which adds text in textArea

Hi, I have been scratching my head for a couple of hours wondering why my Japplet isnt working. The problem is, the second time I select the first combobox, the second combobox does not update its content and hangs. I am not sure where its looping to and have tried to trace it out. The code is as follows.

Eric, you are right, I can't live without keyboards. One can use touch screens and qwerty keyboards of smartphones more than 30 min in a stretch. They are meant for Tech savvy people and not techie. For enterprise where a person spends 9-10 hrs a day doing serious stuff still a high performance PC is preferred than accessing a app from cloud on iPhone.

Hello, j2ee project work and postgresql. Previously worked on the project in the folder webapps \ Projname and now deployed in webapps \ ROOT for me to disappear from the end of the url / Projname /. I have worked, but now I get an error when trying to connect to the database when the other url before I gave any error. He says that the database "name" does not exist. Any ideas?

I have an application which was single threaded and so used ArralyList through out the application.Now We want to make that thread safe because application changed to multi threaded.Which is the best way to do that? I don't like to replace with Vector where ever we used ArralyList.

I am developing a web project using java and jsp.
Everything is working, but at the backend I have a constructor with is supposed to read a dictionary file which is quite large(20 sec load time).

My question is: How can i run this constructor before the users enter my jsp page? And how to I get access to that object?

Hi, It's been established that Hidden form fields are insecure to use in web applications.
Now my question is what all are the alternatives do we have before if we want to avoid (eliminate) the usage of hidden form fields.

For example one have typical we application where user searches the employee and gets the tabular result with one Action column where number of option will be provided like EDIT/DELETE/VIEW.

Now in order to open edit one have to pull that record from the database and open the editable form for the user.

Java - ORA-00020: maximum number of processes (x) exceeded

Hello,

Today we suddenly had to deal with the below error:
"javax.servlet.ServletException: TransactionServlet.doGet: Failed checking db session: javax.servlet.ServletException: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00020: maximum number of processes (500) exceeded"

After a short discussion with the DBA team it seems the application server where our application is running on was using about 350 of the available (500) connections! The rest of the connections was used by other apps. It seems that of those 350 database connection at about 120 had an idle time of >= 1 day.
