Neither this approach, nor Swixat, solves my main GUI coding problem, which is debugging all the messages that get sent between the elements.
I don't need a system which replaces Java code with xml or annotations. What I need is a debugging tool that tracks the messages, even those posted via Invokelater, from their original source, and allows me to filter out the noise and see just what is happening.
For example why is that filtered JTable taking so long to update. It turns out the filter was being fired (recalculated) 4 times per data change.
A tool to help me find this sort of problem easily is what I would really like.
