The security blanket is designed to hold the thread-to-permission mappings in a hashMap. This would require calling the Security blanket initially from various threads but the underlying hashMap is not syncronised and neither is the external access to the SecurityBlanket methods in the example.
I suspect this means there is a chance that weirdo stuff might happen - particularly under heavy usage.
