jvm properties...
      #26027 - 01/17/06 09:58 PM

com.sun.management.jmxremote.port=9999
com.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false
com.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false

Can these be set by System.setProperty(...)?
I tried it but it did not seem to work.
Can anybody tell me why or what I have to take care of if I want to set these properties programmatically?

It is most likely not possible to set these properties in the code. I heard that there is some work being done in this area for JSE 6.0. I will post this question in the jmx forum.

Setting these properties in the code will have no effect in J2SE 5.0. I checked this on jmx forum.

Following page has good documentation on enabling JMX Agent in J2SE 5.0:

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/management/agent.html
