What is the purpose and the audience of this article, which does not explain synchronized (assumes at least intermediate level), but states the obvious: -Java DOES have support for multithreading; -Our train of thoughts is single-treaded, therefore multy-threaded programming is hard for humans; So what? I would rather see here author's thoughts about how Java memory model with it's coarse-grained locking will fit into picture or what impact multicore hardware will have on the architecture of typical java server-side system (where bottlenecks will be shifted).
