Printing an HTML page in clientside printer

Hi,
System generates a html page using jsp. And if the user clicks a button in the page system need to print the page to client side printer. But now I am using javascript to print the page. So client side default header and footer is appearing in the printout. Browser used is IE. Is there anyway to remove the header and footer from the print out.
I highly appreciate your valuable suggession and help.
