What other tools have you found helpful for developing arcade games in Java?

Would JGame work in Blu-Ray Java? What would it take to make arcade games that would play on any Blu-Ray disc player?
Could you add video clips? Could you make something more than a standard arcade game? Perhaps a modernize Dragon's Lair? Or build-a-movie from a library of clips? Or a video trivia game?

As I understand Blu-Ray Java, it is based on J2ME. Because J2ME does not support all of core Java, it is possible that certain classes on which JGame depends are not present, which means that JGame would not function in a Blu-Ray Java environment without modification.
To work with video clips, JGame would most likely need to work with the Java Media Framework. I've found no evidence that this association exists.
I recommend that you contact JGame's creator, Boris van Schooten, and discuss these questions with him. His JGame Website is http://www.13thmonkey.org/~boris/jgame/. Perhaps he might introduce Blu-Ray and video clip support in a future JGame version (unless I've missed something and JGame already supports these capabilities).

I am happy to announce that JGame is now J2ME compatible. Games using just the JGame base API can now be compiled directly for both JRE and J2ME. I didn't know about Blu-Ray Java. Sounds interesting! Let's see if I can get JGame to run on a video player near me.
