Interesting and certainly more OO than the getter/setter paradigm. Allen, would you be willing to provide a complete so called "Domain Object" example of Employee which includes both UI and persistence logic (ie, an Employee entity bean). I'd like to see how this could be applied in the J2EE world. Anybody, else too. I am so firmly stuck in getter/setter mode, that it's not comming to me now...

This article was really interesting! Getters and setters have been bothering me for a long time. Thank you for showing better way.
Anyway, I agree with earlier post. I'd like to see real world examples how OO systems are constructed.
Currently all mainstream Java web frameworks such as Struts, Spring, WebWork, Maverick etc. seem to support/encourage JavaBean style getter/setter programming. Clearly, we need alternatives.
