Using Strings as the interface
      #5374 - 01/20/04 09:05 PM

I was interested in Allen's use of Strings to pass display information.

I have recently complete WebStringTemplates, an open source project aimed at moving the HTML out of server code.
(see http://www.forward.com.au/webstringtemplates)

WebStringTemplates use the String representation of the data as the interface between the server code and the HTML display.
It formalizes this into an interface definition of the the data that will be available from the server.

Allen's approach would benefit from a similar formalization of the interface between the class and its Builder.
