TCAT/C-C++ and TCAT/Java increase runtime

Software Research has released Version 3.1 of Test Coverage Analysis Tools TCAT/C-C++ and TCAT/Java. The new version offers improved runtime and includes a new all paths generator (APG). The APG calculates the total number of segments, nodes, and 1-trip paths in the program; cyclomatic complexity of the object; shortest and longest paths; highest level of iteration; number of basis paths; and number of iterative paths based on the depth of repetition. Version 3.1 also includes better CallTree and Digraph graphics.

A demo or evaluation version of Test Coverage Analysis Tools Version 3.1 can be downloaded for free.

SilverStream Software unveils J2EE Connector Architecture 1.0

Part of the forthcoming Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) 1.3 standard, SilverStream Software's J2EE Connector Architecture is a specification that connects J2EE technology-based applications to a broad array of enterprise information systems. The J2EE Connector Architecture is an e-business platform designed for building integrated and interoperable e-business solutions. J2EE Connector Architecture 1.0 offers comprehensive connectivity to enterprise systems and enables corporations to leverage more of their existing systems and IT assets using industry standards.

SilverStream Software will be incorporating J2EE Connector Architecture 1.0 as part of its SilverStream e-business platform products shortly after the commercial availability of J2EE Version 1.3.

Java deployment platform available for Intel Itanium servers

Through its Early Access Program, Tower Technology is releasing TowerJ Java deployment platform for Linux Intel Itanium-based servers. Using that platform, organizations can move Java-based applications onto Intel Itanium servers to begin testing and optimization. The Tower Early Access Program also includes access to the TowerJ SDK for Itanium Servers and services from Tower's Professional Services group. TowerJ is now available on Red Hat Linux, TurboLinux, and SuSE Linux, and it will be available for Windows during 2001.

Servertec releases new Internet server written entirely in Java

The new Servertec Internet Server, Version 1.10.0 is a scalable platform-independent application Web server written in Java, which will run on any platform that supports Java Version 1.1.x or later. Servertec Internet Server features support for database and file-based distributed session persistence and caching; custom, console, file, database, and email monitor event handlers; and customer, plain, and secure socket handlers. The new release also includes an expanded API, bug fixes, and updates to documentation. Developers can use Servertec Internet Server for serving static Webpages and for generating dynamic, data-driven Webpages using Java Servlets, JavaServer Pages, iScript, Common Gateway Interface, and server-side includes.
