agentNET developed by agentGO is a wireless enterprise application that monitors the status of network systems, sends wireless alerts to system administrators and IT personnel, and allows system administrators to fix problems remotely. agentNET provides early detection of common system failures and allows for in-depth diagnosis. Part of agentGO's Naked Apps product family, agentNET is a third-generation, agent-based technology built on Java and XML. Administrators may use a mobile device to interact with the system. The product is designed to reduce development time for wireless applications.
agentNET is available immediately as part of agentGO's suite of Naked Apps.
Talarian has introduced the first two products of its JMS-based (Java Message Service) product family, Workbench for JMS and SmartSockets for JMS. The products are designed to deliver fast time-to-market, realtime performance, reliability, scalability, and Internet application support. The new Talarian JMS products combine Sun's JMS interface with Talarian's publish-subscribe messaging and message-queuing engines. By incorporating the two messaging paradigms together, Talarian provides a JMS-based solution for realtime delivery of large volumes of messages.
Workbench for JMS, a quick-start developer's toolkit, will be available in March 2001. SmartSockets for JMS is an enterprise infrastructure solution for application-to-application messaging; it will become available in late 2001.
The 2Bridge Personal Portal Server, just released from 2Bridge, provides users with the means to create a personalized command center for accessing, permissioning, publishing, and sharing Web services, documents, and rich media. The standards-based 2Bridge Personal Portal Server is written in Java and XML. The server can be incorporated as part of the federated enterprise network of peer-to-peer portal and content servers, enabling IT organizations to leverage the power of distributed network computing. The Personal Portal allows users to create an unlimited number of personalized channels, and it can authenticate from any JNDI source, including LDAP, NT-user database, or Unix permissioning system. It also features business information and services, and a multiple-device gateway.
NetSpurs Reporter for Remedy, a new product from Tek Tools, is a Web-based reporting solution for Remedy Action Request System. Using Java servlets and JavaServer Pages, NetSpurs Reporter for Remedy communicates with the Remedy API in XML-formatted data. NetSpurs Reporter for Remedy provides users with the ability to build custom reports and to deliver those reports on the Web through PDAs or desktop applications using HTML, WML, or CSV. NetSpurs Reporter for Remedy features grouping, sorting, arithmetic functions, and a scheduler that automatically generates reports at user-defined intervals. Users can build reports from their ARS data, and tailor the design and data content of the report. Reports can be delivered via the Web and wireless devices.
