Finalists announced for JavaWorld Editors' Choice Awards

Find out which Java products and technologies made the final cut

Awards season is not yet over. This week JavaWorld proudly announces the finalists for its 2001 JavaWorld Editors' Choice Awards. Established in 1997, the awards recognize innovative companies, organizations, and individuals for their commitment to developing new Java tools and technologies that drive the platform forward. More than 100 products and technologies were nominated by vendors, readers, as well as JavaWorld editors and writers.

Through a rigorous selection process, JavaWorld's panel of expert judges -- made up of JavaWorld authors and forum moderators -- participated in several rounds of voting to determine which of the products or technologies most deserve finalist status. In choosing the finalists, the judges carefully weighed each product or technology on the basis of its features and functions, as well as its impact in advancing Java as a language and/or platform.

Please note that finalists are listed in no particular order. One winner will be named in each category and all finalists will be honored during the JavaWorld Editors' Choice Awards ceremony at the JavaOne Conference and Expo in San Francisco, June 4-8.

Finalists can download the JavaWorld Editors' Choice Awards Finalist logo here: http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/ecawards01/jw-ecawards-logo.html.
