June 27 — The Inca X IDE and Runtime environment for Jini 2.0 allows Jini service developers to write, compile, test, and deploy services within the Inca X environment. The tool comes preconfigured with all core Jini 2.0 services.

June 27 — Systinet has made available WASP Server for Java, 4.6, a Web services infrastructure platform. The 4.6 release features improved support for asynchronous Web services and full support for SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) 1.2. The server also supports the Java Web services APIs, including JAX-RPC (Java API for XML-based Remote Procedure Call), JAXM (Java API for XML Messaging) and SAAJ (SOAP with Attachments API for Java).

June 20 — The M7 Application Assembly Suite, an enterprise assembly technology from M7, now supports the Borland Enterprise Server, Team Edition. The tool also integrates with JBuilder, Borland's Java IDE, and StarTeam, Borland's software configuration management system.

The tool supports J2ME/CLDC (Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition/Connected Limited Device Configuration) and features a 32-bit aJile aJ-100 Real-Time Java processor.
