Trigent Software launches J2EE training courses

November 22 — Trigent Software will offer three- to five-day training sessions on Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) development and architecture. Using the realMethods Framework, these courses will show developers how to tackle the issues they'll face in applying J2EE to their business applications.

Flashline integrates CMEE with WebSphere

November 22 — Flashline has released an adaptor that integrates Flashline Component Manager Enterprise Edition (CMEE) with IBM WebSphere Studio Developer Tools. This integration creates one environment for building, testing, and deploying Java applications; users can search for, extract, and submit assets to CMEE without leaving WebSphere Studio.

Saffeine updates licensing solution

November 22 — Saffeine Research has released Saffeine 2.0, a license management tool. Version 2.0 adds the tool's licensing and code protection features to server-side and plug-in components.

Cafesoft introduces Cams security tool

November 22 — The Cafesoft Access Management System (Cams) is security software that centrally controls access to Apache and Tomcat server content and application resources. The product includes single sign-on and access control to Web server content and J2EE (Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition) applications.

Windward Reports now available

November 22 — Windward Studios has released Windward Reports a Java-based XML reporting system. The tool allows developers to lay out reports with Microsoft Word and then create reports in rich text format, HTML, or PDF format.

Motorola and Metrowerks launch developer curriculum

November 15 — The Motorola Developer Learning Center will teach software developers how to write software for Motorola's Java-enabled mobile phones. Developed by Motorola and Metrowerks, the online courses are offered at three levels: beginner, intermediate, and expert.

IIT Software updates SwiftMQ

November 15 — The latest version of IIT Software's JMS (Java Message Service) enterprise messaging system is now available. SwiftMQ 4.0 includes JMS 1.1 implementation, intra-VM JMS connections, versioned protocol stacks, and high-speed 2-phase commit protocol.

Finalists announced for TopCoder Invitational 2002

November 15 — Sixteen finalists will compete for 50,000 in TopCoder's annual programming competition. TopCoder Invitational 2002's championship rounds will be held November 22-23 in Uncasville, Conn. Top prize is 0,000.

Novell previews XForms tools

November 15 — Novell plans to add tools based on the XForms standard in its next release of extend, its Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE)-based Web application development suite. Currently, the company is previewing those tools. XForms is an XML-based technology that helps developers build standards-based Web applications.
