December 5 — Ekkon Technologies' MerchantSpace Commerce 2.8 Java-based e-commerce software now includes a revamped Commerce Manager, digital downloads, real-time UPS shipment tracking, tiered pricing/volume discount functionality, support for PayPal payment processing, and dynamic drill-down charting for all reports.

Etnus connects debuggers

December 5 — Etnus's CodeRoad JNI Bridge 2.0 offers debugging of mixed C/C++/Java code that utilizes the Java Native Interface (JNI), providing tight integration between the Etnus TotalView C/C++ debugger and popular Java debuggers.

Koalog reveals Koalog Configurator 0.13

December 5 — Koalog has released Koalog Configurator 0.13. Koalog Configurator allows users to choose preferences in any order and modify them at any time and includes an interactive prioritization module. Koalog Configurator also supports pricing rules so users can define individual configuration item prices depending on user selections.

Infravio assembles Ensemble 4.0

November 21 — Infravio's Ensemble 4.0 Web services management suite offers the Infravio Console that provides notification, logging, and monitoring information for centralized runtime management, rules-based routing to manage failover and load balancing, and new Handler Plug-in APIs and Event Manager APIs.

Reasoning improves inspection services

November 21 — Reasoning's automated software inspection service enhancements for Java include a new defect class that can identify database connection leaks, statement leaks, and result-set leaks.

IBM alphaWorks adds XML tool

November 14 — IBM alphaWorks' Scripting for XML tool combines an interpreter that processes an XML tag set with an integrated editor. Scripting for XML uses Document Object Model (DOM) to parse the XML source into a tree the interpreter executes. Scripting for XML can create new user-defined objects and also reuse existing Java objects.

Atlassian enhances JIRA

November 14 — Atlassian Software Systems' JIRA 2.5 Web-based issue tracking and project management application now includes internationalization, customizable field management, bulk editing of issues, developer workload reports, and project categories.

Side of Software puts out Print Preview library

November 14 — Side of Software has unveiled its Java Print Preview library. The library offers two Swing components, four layout managers, and a helper class to add print preview to an application. Users can customize the components by changing the colors, the page selection model, the page number rendering, and the zoom behavior.
